Australian Pipeline Trust today announced it had entered into a four-year contract with Western Power to transport gas for supply to Austral Bricks in Western Australia.
APA chief executive officer-elect Mick McCormack said the contract would be worth between $2 million and $5 million during the four-year period.
APA will transport the gas to Austral Bricks – Australia’s largest brick manufacturer. The gas will be transported via APA’s Parmelia pipeline.Mr McCormack said the contract would add further value to APA’s purchase of the Parmelia business last year.
“Austral picked Western Power and APA to supply gas after a competitive tendering process,” he said.
“This is a multi-year deal and we’re very pleased to be part of such an innovative supply agreement.”
