APA appoints General Manager, Operations

The Australian Pipeline Trust (APA) today announced the appointment of Stephen Ohl as General Manager, Operations.
In this position, Mr Ohl replaces Mick McCormack, who is APA’s Chief Executive Officer elect.
Mr Ohl joins APA from AGL, a major shareholder of APA, where he worked on AGL’s involvement in the Papua New Guinea Gas Pipeline Project.
Mr McCormack said Mr Ohl brought a wide knowledge of the gas pipeline industry to APA.
“Stephen has more than 30 years experience in the petrochemical, oil and gas and pipeline industries, of which 15 years was spent managing and operating APA assets when owned by AGL,” he said.
“He will add to the significant depth of APA’s management team.”
Mr Ohl will be responsible for the business performance of all APA assets, including the operation, contract management, commercial development and technical regulation of all existing pipeline and related assets.
He will also serve as a director on subsidiary companies within the APA group.
Mr Ohl has tertiary qualifications in engineering and management, is a member of the Institution of Engineers Australia and is a past President of the Australian Pipeline Industry Association.
