APA Group (APA) announced today the appointment of Peter Fredricson to the position of Chief Financial Officer, effective 1 June 2009.

Peter is a highly experienced Chief Financial Officer with considerable expertise in the listed energy infrastructure sector. Until mid 2007, he was CFO of Vector Limited, a leading publicly listed New Zealand energy infrastructure company with considerable interests in gas transmission and distribution assets, where he was responsible for financial management, treasury, taxation and mergers, acquisitions and divestments. As Vector’s CFO Peter led the listing of Vector - a then NZ $6 billion company - on the New Zealand Stock Exchange.

Peter’s background also includes extensive experience in financial services and investment banking in Australia, Asia and the Pacific. Other roles have included a CEO position with one of New Zealand’s largest finance companies, undertaking a restructuring of its debt obligations, a Director at Grant Samuel & Associates, New Zealand and Head of Private Client Services at international investment bank, Merrill Lynch in Sydney.
